265 Beautiful Acres

Within the city limits of Delta is a 265 acre recreational haven. The 60 acre lake with approximately 5 miles of meandering walking and bicycle trails is near the confluence of the Gunnison and Uncompahhgre Rivers. The lake allows non-motorized boating. with a boat ramp and dock on the northeast side of the lake. A handicap accessible fishing dike, and an instructional pond (fishing in the summer/skating in the winter) is on the northeast side of the lake. A swim beach is accessible during the summer months along with a volleyball court on the west side of the lake. Picnic sites. public rest rooms and fire pits are available. The trails allow opportunities to view wildlife in natural habitats, and there is a bird sanctuary between the river and the lake.

Trout are stocked annually. Pets must be on a leash in the park. and there is no overnight camping. Other rules are posted at the entrance to the park.
